Now offering Yin Yoga with Anne Palaschuk starting Thursday January 19 for 6 weeks at 5:45 to 7pm.

In a Yin Yoga class you can expect to work in seated, prone or supine yoga postures with your muscles relaxed for a period of time – up to 5 min. per pose. 

 

On a physical level, holding the poses for a longer period enhances  the natural range of motion in the joints.  The muscles are kept soft as you work and deep layers of connective tissue are released.

 

On an energetic level you work with the breath to release the flow of

energy  in the tissues around the joints.

 

The Yin approach is an open, curious and relaxed exploration helping you to discover stillness and greater depth in your yoga practice.
